in concord leaves one man with life threatening injuries. he was walking across clayton road near bailey road about 6:15 last night when a car hit him. investigators say the 52-year- old man was not in the crosswalk at the time. he was later rushed to john mere medical center. now the police say they know who hit him and the investigation goes on. >>> a debate over gun sales leads to death threats. ktvu janine de la vega live now to tell us what is expected to be a very emotional town meeting tonight in los gatos. >> reporter: dave, people are passionate about this issue of gun control and this gun store. now here is a sampling of some of the e-mails that people wrote into the town council after last weeks meeting but one person took it too far and made a death threat against the gun store owner here. now the attorney for templar sports says his client the stores owner robert chang received a death threat at his home after last weeks town council meeting. he said san jose police are investigating. his concern about chang and the other two inners. according to los gatos website the meeting wil

. >>> in overnight news, a crash in concord leaves one man with life-threatening injuries. police say he was walking across clayton road near bay lie road around 6:15 last night when a car hit him. investigators say the 52-year- old man was not in a crosswalk. he was rushed to john muir medical center. police know who hit him. an investigation is still underway. >>> copper thieves are causing big problems for bay area drivers. alex savidge has a look at -- a look at this problem. >> reporter: copper thieves could be partly to blame for that lengthy commute. they targeted metering lights here at the isabel avenue entrance to 580 here. i will show you what they did. they broke into this electrical box here and they ripped off the valuable copper wire inside and hence the metering lights at this exit/entrance have been out for the couple of weeks. caltrans says a total of 599 lights have been vandalled -- 59 lights have been vandalized. the cost, $35,000 just to repair one of those lights. it takes several months to do the replacement work. thieves are ripping out copper wire from stoplights and freewa

know on the hayward side there's fog. concord, livermore, napa, santa rosa. yesterday, it was the north bay. patchy fog but hazy and warm. mostly sunny. higher clouds. next rain, thursday, friday. next thursday, friday. although it's looking more like a colder system than a rainy system. we need the rain. if you thought where is the breeze, there has not been much. others in the east bay, have a pretty good offshore wind continuing. that for shom the offshore breeze is in place. that means the coast has really nice weather. temperatures on the lows are even warmer that morning than yesterday it will be sunny. mostly cloudy. there's some higher clouds. i think most of those day towards more central california. 30s for some. 49. redwood city, san rafael is at 41. livermore is 32. so some of those higher clouds to the south, the forecast model picks up on it a little bit. mainly about san jose south and then the fog will fall apart. there will be some but then it will go away. today, a challengey start. hazy sunshine. highs, 7 in clearlake. 70 in gilroy. sonoma is in there. st. helena warm

busier. we started at antioch but it looks good through bay point and on into concord and it's getting slower through pleasant hill and walnut creek but as would you move through panola, traffic is getting slower on richmond's westbound interstate 880 and as we jump down to 880 and fremont, there is a minor crash, the drive between 88 and maury, traffic -- mowry, traffic does look good, now we have more like a 25 minute delay with no problems getting onto the bridge. if you are driving or approaching san jose or santa clara 237 has some slowed traffic crossing 880, let's go to steve. >>> mostly clouds, mid-level clouds, a breeze for some, picks up and mostly on higher elevations a little bit of snow from the sierra and following the system we had on tuesday, it gave some awesome snow to the desert and now it is moving into the planes but oh cal kegly mostly -- occasionally mostly clouds and it looks like a quiet pattern and i was looking towards next week early march, there is not much that says rain and it will give us some partly cloudy skies and again it is a dry forecast and there
